Stor troopers

stor.co.uk had one of the most popular avatarmakers on the web; unfortunately, when I discovered them back in 2003, the site was closed down. Thanks to the cache search in Google someone has managed to capture screenshots of some of the props, and using those screenshots and Adobe Photoshop I assembled the small avatarmaker below. Quite time consuming, but definitely worth it! Since putting up this maker, I've received a few email responses from people who's been missing the original one. One of those is Tamara from the USA, she's donated the little puppy in the extras' box. She made that one from a cat in the original Stor maker; thanks for contributing, Tamara!

For a while it looked as if the original Stortroopers, revised, would return in December 03, and finally, April 2005 it has at last become reality! Read about it here and here! :)

To make an avatar:
1: Drag and Drop a body to either the white or the grey field
2: Keep dragging and dropping props (clothes etc) to the body
3: Once you're satisfied press PrintScrn to make a screenshot
4: Open your graphics program (if you're running Windows you'll find Paint under Start/ All Programs / Accessories)
5: Open a new file by clicking File-> New OR press Ctrl-N
6: Paste the screenshot by clicking Edit-> Paste OR press Ctrl-V
7: Now you can crop the doll out of the screenshot and even do some last minute alterations		Click below for a few really awesome avatar/ icon makers:
